Land & Planning

These are our people who acquire suitable land for our developments, working closely with other departments to create our award-winning housing. Each of our divisional offices has its own dedicated team of land buyers who use their local knowledge to assess and where suitable, purchase new plots at competitive prices.

Being a part of this dynamic team will see you play a vital role in shaping our growth. You’ll enjoy incredible variety in your work and regularly collaborate with our sales, build and technical teams. You’ll be able to build strong relationships with landowners because they’ll trust you because they trust Redrow.

  • “Having undertaken a degree in Architectural Design Technology, I started my career here at Redrow on the Redrow Graduate Programme. I have now been with Redrow for over four years, and I have spent time in every department, from Sales to Commercial, from Technical to Construction. Recently I was promoted to Assistant Land Manager, then Land Negotiator and now Land Manager. As I am responsible for finding new sites, I am involved in any given development from day one. One of the best things is going back to visit a completed development, which I would first have first seen as just a field, before witnessing its transformation into a thriving community. I enjoy working with lots of different people, from landowners looking for advice to agents selling a site. I also enjoy working with other departments within Redrow, handling matters such as assisting in preparing a bid for a development.”

  • “I joined Redrow in 2017 as a Rotational Graduate at the Lancashire Division, working in the Land, Technical and Construction departments.  During my time on the Scheme, an opportunity came up within the Land Department at the North West Division; I knew it was where I wanted to be, so I jumped at the chance of a permanent job there!   I am now a Land Negotiator, identifying and progressing new land opportunities to ensure that the business continues to grow and deliver new homes.  I am also part of the Redrow Ambassador programme, developed to help change outdated perceptions of the construction industry. We partner with schools, sharing our knowledge and industry insight so as to help reduce gender-specific stereotyping; we also raise awareness of the many career opportunities available in construction. I really enjoy working for Redrow and I’m excited to see what the future holds.”

  • “I secured my degree (Geography) and Pg Dip (Regional Planning) in the 1980s before my first town planning job at Rhondda Borough Council, where I completed a Master’s Degree in town planning.  I then worked for Wilcon Homes before finally joining Redrow in 2002.  I have worked for Redrow for 19 years, starting as a Planning Manager - and I have been a Planning Director since 2010, seeking land for acquisition and seeing it through the planning process.  I have found Redrow very supportive in my career progression, allowing me to progress at a rate that enabled me to fulfil my family commitments; they have been equally supportive of the many ambitious projects I have put to them for approval.  I want to stay with Redrow for many years to come and am delighted to have played my part in increasing the diversity within Redrow’s senior management.”
